Dip Dye Fun

When I was away playing in the sun my hair decided to go dramatically lighter to a light brown shade which is actually the closest it has been to my natural hair colour in around 5 years! Since the ends of my hair (along with my fringe) were the lightest of it all, creeping upon blonde, I decided to have a little fun and dip dye it. I went to my local Sally’s to explore the colours they had and decided to dry a purple shade as a few years ago I did dip dye the ends a red colour and I wanted to go for something I have never done before; I also only went for a semi-permanent colour just in case it went horrifically wrong. The make I went for was Crazy Colour by Rembow in colour Violette because the sales assistant recommended it and in the samples they had I liked this colour the most; it was £6.49 for the bottle which I thought was pretty reasonable; this dye only had to be left on clean hair for 15-30 minutes before being rinsed off; I left it on the ends of my hair for the full 30 as I wanted it to work to its full capability. I am not disappointment by the results at all but it’s definitely not what I expected to happen. The colour is not as purple as I wanted but instead has just made the ends of my hair a little darker; it’s not black as much it is a grey-blue colour (if that exists).

I am actually really happy with the results as it just adds a subtle difference; to anyone who has never dipped dyed their hair before but are thinking about it I do recommend you try it! At most shops which supply to hair dressers and beauticians you can get a wide variety of hair colours, permanent and semi-permanent so if you are not sure on what you want you can get one that will rinse out and then you can try it again!

My Fulberry (Fake Mulberry)

I have never been a huge fan of fake designer products as I have often found them to look TOO fake and a little bit cheap but after my holiday to Thailand all of that changed. I have a friend who frequently visits Asia and her fakes are so good and so realistic, so when I went I just had to have a look for something of my own and boy did I find some gems! I used my will power when it came to shopping and only bought myself one fake bag, many claps for Hann, and I absolutely love it. It is just a small clutch sized fake Mulberry which folds over in the middle; it also has an option of having a handle which I thought was a lovely little extra. It is made of real leather which will hopefully help it last as I do plan too at one point in my life have a real Mulberry back but as I am about to become a student in London I have a feeling it isn’t going to be a for a long time yet…till then I will love my Fulberry. If anyone is going across to Thailand or somewhere is Asia in the near future I do suggest taking a look at the fakes, I only paid 1500 baht (about £30) for this bag and a purse as well which is a good deal I think as they are both real leather.

Life Update: Thailand + University Adventures

Hello kitten cats! Oh my gosh it has been too long; I think a little update is needed. As some of you may know I have been Thailand for the last month hence the lack of blogging communication and that. It was hands down the best month of my life and too anyone who is thinking about going, I highly HIGHLY recommend it. It is such a beautiful country full of beautiful people and the Thai culture is just amazing and oh my jet lag is taking over and I am blabbing on already! I went with two friends I know from school but I am not sure if they want their photos up here so I just included a few to share with you guys; my little internet friends.

Second life update is that I have been accepted to The Queen Mary University of London to study next year! Yeeeeeeeeey! I am super excited except for the fact that it means I am moving to London in 2 weeks and have absolutely nothing ready apart from an iron my nana gave me…great. So I am going to try my best to get some posts up as this is what I love doing and I don’t want to stop but if my posts are sparse then I am sorry. Also if anyone has any tips on a northern moving to London for the first time then please tell me, I am terrified.   

In conclusion Thailand was amazing, moving to university very soon and will be back to doing posts asap/now. Hope you all had an amazing summer and please tell me about it, where did you guys go or what did you do?

Rimmel London Traffic Stopping Shadow

 

I found this little beauty the other week when I was in Morrison’s (yes Morrison’s as in the supermarket, stay with me) reduced from £6.00 to £3.00, what a treat!  The only time I had really seen these eye shadows had been when they were being promoted before Made in Chelsea so I had no idea what to expect but recently my MAC black eye shadow has gone missing so I thought for £3.00 I would buy it at least I had another black again. I haven’t tried it out fully in a look yet but I have sampled it quite a bit and so far so good really. On the back of the pallet it says they can be used wet or dry but when I tried them out dry all that seemed to happen was they were diluted and spread a little further. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when I used them wet but I was expecting something a little more exciting to happen I guess so yeah I was little let down by that. The colour trio is called 006 Sharp Turn and for ease I have just numbered each colour so you know what I am on about. I love number 1 and will definitely be using it as a highlighter in the corners of my eyes, it leaves a lovely pearly shimmery colour and leaves a strong colour if that makes sense. Number 2 when used looks more silvery then grey; its shimmery like number 1 but I am not sure how I am going to use it yet. Finally number 3, it is a nice colour and gives nice finish but I just can’t help but to compare it to my old MAC. Deep Sigh. Overall I do like the pallet and I will be using it but I wouldn’t pay £6.00 for it; eye shadow is one of those things where I think its worth paying a bit more to get high-end products.
